Crab & Shellfish Boil

This boil became a big hit at a family crab cook-off. At my Dad's 93rd Birthday, the challenge was to see how what we develop would stack up against 'Old Bay™.' 

The Challenge was on! The result of the cook-off at this family event was that the Peppers4Fun Crab & Shellfish Boil beat Old Bay™.

Our Crab & Shellfish Boil features our Aji Lemon Yellow Pepper Powder. The citrus heat penetrated into the meat of the steamed crabs. This citrus heat is well balanced with all the other herbs and spices that you expect in a seafood shellfish seasoning.

For your next Shellfish culinary experience add some of our Crab & Shellfish Boil to your pot.

Recommended way to use:

For a Boil: Add a minimum of 1 full TBS per qt of water. Boil 2-3 minutes before adding seafood. Boil 8 – 10 minutes or Cook until meat firms or turns pink in color.

For Steaming: Bottle of Black-n-Tan beer, 8 Oz water, 4 Oz white vinegar. Add 1 full TBS to liquid. Layer in crabs or other shellfish – adding 1 full TBS sprinkled over each layer. Steam 15 to 20 minutes or Cook until meat firms or turns pink in color.

For Crab Cakes: Often after crab feast there is some left overs. We had a good amount left from Dad's Birthday. The leftovers were shelled, bagged and frozen. Dad unfroze about 4 ounces and added our Pepers5Fun Crab and Shellfish Boil directly to the crab meat. He seasoned it to his palate and added some bread crumbs and an egg. The mix is amazing. This is a simple way to make crab cakes. We always suggest that you add only the amount of seasoning that will give you that culinary experience.

Fish: Walleye, Perch, Cod and most other mild fish

Hot Wings: My Dad enjoys using this seasoning on his hot wings. And then finish with one of our Hot Sauces, especially The Cat's Meow.
